In the wedding at the village of Cana in Galilee was the first recorded miracle of Jesus, turning water into wine. Jesus’ mother, Mary, told him, “They have no more wine.” (she presented the situation to her son) that the wedding party did no have enough wine. But, she turned to the servants and said, “Do whatever he tells you.” (John 2:5). Mary already knew the importance of obeying and trusting God. That’s the first recored miracle Jesus did, but Mary just trusted that obedience would bring the answer. They had a wedding and they made their plans for the wedding party, but they never image that the wine will run out. Now, Jesus told the servants, Fill the jars with water.” Then the jars had been filled, he said, “Now dip some out, and take it to he master of ceremonies.” So the servants followed his instructions (John 2:7-8). Notice the jars held twenty to thirty gallons! and Jesus commanded the servants to fill the jars in verse 6, and the servants filled them to the “brim”. What jars in your life is He asking you to fill? Remember the way Jesus fill the jars at the wedding “with abundance”. Also, remember, whatever He says, do it!
LORD, don’t let me lose sight of You, in the complex logistics of everyday life.
