Love is such a powerful force. When we love others, we are fulfilling everything that God requires of us. Love is the mark of true believers. Jesus said, “Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples” (John 13:35). Consider for a moment your love as seed. Some love become flowers. Others become weeds. The proof is everywhere you look. Ever wonder why some people have the capacity to resist negativism and remain patient, optimistic, and forgiving and they still loving? Could it be that they have diligently sown seeds of goodness and love and they are enjoying the harvest? The Bible says that “when God’s people are in need, be ready to help them. Always be eager to practice hospitality.” (Romans 12:13).
The Most Important Commandment
One of the teachers of religious law was standing there listening to the debate. He realized that Jesus had answered well, so he asked, “Of all the commandments, which is the most important?” Jesus replied, “The most important commandment is this: Listen, O Israel! The LORD our God is the one and the only LORD. And you must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength. The second is equally important: Love your neighbor as yourself. No other commandment is greater that these.” Mark 12:29-31
